People’s Daily Online, Beijing, May 10 (Chu Zirui) on May 8, 23 inspection teams inspected 301 Enterprises (units) and found that 236 enterprises had environmental problems, accounting for of the total number of inspections. Among the enterprises with problems, there are 75 enterprises with “scattered pollution” problems, 20 enterprises without installed pollution control facilities, and 21 enterprises with abnormal operation of pollution control facilities, 22 of them have problems with the governance of VOCs.
In order to keep the intensity of strengthening supervision on the prevention and control of air pollution in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and surrounding areas unabated and ensure the effectiveness of strengthening supervision, the Ministry of Environmental Protection has sent 10 inspection teams one after another since May 9 to Beijing, Shijiazhuang, Langfang, ten cities including Baoding, Tangshan, Cangzhou, Handan, Xingtai, Binzhou and Liaocheng carried out a one-week special inspection.
The inspection site spot checks the rectification situation of the problems supervised by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, focusing on the cleaning and banning of “scattered pollution” enterprise clusters in various places, and the discharge of key pollution sources reaching the standard.
