China’s import and export to the European Union increased by, and its import and export to the United States increased, imports and exports to ASEAN increased by, accounting for of China’s total import and export value.
Trade with countries along the Belt and Road has grown rapidly.
Customs statistics show that since this year, China’s exports to some countries along the Belt and Road have continued to maintain rapid growth. In the first four months, China’s exports to Vietnam, Cambodia, Russia, the import and export of Pakistan and Kazakhstan increased by 23.3%, 24.1%, 33.7%, 18.6 and 55.4% respectively.
Huang Songping, director of the General Statistics Division of the General Administration of Customs: in the first four months of this year, China’s import and export to countries along the Belt and Road were 2.27 trillion yuan, up year on year, 4.8 percent age points higher than the overall growth rate of China’s foreign trade in the same period, accounting for of China’s total foreign trade value.
