Geng Shuang said that about 1,500 distinguished guests from all walks of life from more than 130 countries will attend the forum as official representatives. More than 4,000 journalists from around the world have registered to report on the forum, which is unprecedented.
Geng Shuang said that the forum was rich in content, mainly including the opening ceremony, round table summit and high-level meeting. Among them, on the morning of May 14, President Xi Jinping will attend the opening ceremony and deliver a keynote speech. After the opening ceremony, a high-level plenary meeting will be held. On the afternoon of May 14, a “five links” will be held “, six parallel thematic meetings with the theme of think tank communication; On the 15th, President Xi will host a round table summit, including two-stage meetings and working lunch. President Xi will also introduce the main achievements of the summit forum at the subsequent press conference.
He introduced that China will jointly issue a joint communique with relevant countries attending the round table summit, which will reflect the consensus of all parties on the construction of “The Belt and Road Initiative. During the forum, the participating parties will also connect with the development strategy and work together to create a batch of practical cooperation results. At that time, a series of cooperation documents will be signed.
Geng Shuang said that China is willing to take this forum as an opportunity to discuss and cooperate with like-minded partners, build an open platform and share development dividends.
